I am Eija, my stage name is Jaaza Kokko. I am inspired by nature and its diversity in the Finnish way. I love to wander in the forest, even without a specific goal, and water is my element. I follow the surrounding society and urban life and easily get inspiration from it, especially from its dark sides. I enjoy making opinionated art and would like to change the world into a slightly more beautiful place with my works and works. Preserving the natural environment and sustainable development are key issues behind all design.
I have over ten years of experience in visual design, creating various visible products for both small and large companies, both digital and print. I recently quit my job and became a freelance entrepreneur. My strength is definitely in print; in larger projects, for example in various solutions for company premises, from window taping to other larger advertising material, as well as in smaller print jobs.
I also do art; I draw and paint and design jewelry (I design jewelry both under the name Jaaza Kokko and for the company Vuonelo Finland). I have also been involved in various creative projects, such as art exhibitions (from installations to abstract art and non-objects), a theater set design project, an amateur actor, and I have decorated spaces and shop windows. I sing and like to move in many ways.
